Brothers of ThetaRho Lead the Way in Germany

Stuttgart, Germany – Like any of military-based chapter Theta Rho International has endured and persevered through brothers constantly transitioning in and out of the chapter whether it is due to a permanent change of duty station or deployment. This past year Theta Rho welcomed back several brothers of Grafenwoehr, Germany’s 172ndBrigade Combat Team from their year-long deployment to Afghanistan.

As the chapter welcomed several brothers back from combat they also saw off other brothers headed into harm’s way. The chapter continued to pray for those who have yet to return home. Inspite of this, the brothers of Theta Rho perseverence continued to make its mark throughout Europe’s military community this year.

In addition to brothers serving our country well in combat, the brothers of Theta Rho have assumed significant leadership roles.  Brother Bruce Crawford, Commander 5thSignal Command (Theater), was promoted to the rank of BG. Brigadier General Crawford’s command is responsible for building, operating and defending the entire Department of Defense GIG for all of the Army in Europe to include Headquarters European and Africa Commands. Within the 5th Signal Command(Theater), Brother Jimmy Hall (Colonel) took command of 2nd Signal Brigade,Wiesbaden, Germany and Brother Verne Washington assumed responsibility as Command Sergeant Major of 43d Signal Battalion. Brother Robert Myles (Colonel) took Command of the Defense Contract Management Agency-Europe and Brother Anthony Wiggins (Lieutenant Colonel) took Command of the 1-2 Infantry Battalion, 172d Infantry Brigade Combat Team, Grafenwoehr, Germany.

These brothers are great examples and role models not only for the brothers of Theta Rho, but for brother throughout the Fraternity. Despite their positions and responsibilities in the military they are all financial and are active members of the chapter.
